A little bit more about our shop.

June 9, 2017

Our website has officially gone live! We are very pleased to finally have a presence on the web, but I thought it would be nice for everyone to know a little more about our shop, starting with the building.

The grade II* listed building was recently found to be one of the earliest domestic timber-framed structures in Worcestershire. Timbers used to build the main frame of the building were analysed by dendrochronologists who look at tree rings on timbers in order to date them. From these they can tell the building is almost 700 years old.

It has been lovingly rescued and restored to what you see today. Many of the beams have been uncovered throughout the building and can be seen in the shop.

Civic Fortnight is taking place between 10th-24th June 2017 with guided talks, tours and exhibitions and displays dotted around the High Street.
